MULTI DEVELOPMENT WINS ICSC AWARD FOR MARMARA FORUM - BEST LARGE SHOPPING CENTER 2012
Marmara Forum was awarded Best Large Shopping Center 2012 at the Annual meeting of the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) in Berlin yesterday.

The award was collected by Joao Xavier, Managing Director of Multi’s 2 malls developed and managed by Multi in Istanbul; Marmara Forum and Forum Istanbul. Marmara Forum opened in March 2011 to meet the need for ‘Innovation in Istanbul’. It features 130,000 m² GLA; with nearly 350 national and international brands, and an entertainment area of 13,000 m² - in a state of the art architectural and design environment.

Multi Development Turkey developed Marmara Forum with London based Area Property Partners, a leading international real estate fund manager. Marmara Forum hosts a Cinebonus movie-plex with the most movie screens in Turkey (16), some with 3D screens and has kindergarten areas of 13,000 m².

Bauhaus, Tepe Home, Saturn, Cinebonus, Boyner, YKM, H&M, C&A, Teknosa, Zara, Marks & Spencer, Bimeks and D&R are anchor brands at Marmara Forum, hosting the first concept hypermarket in Turkey, by Carrefoursa, on 21,000 m². There are jewellery brands such as Atasay, Altınbaş, Gülaylar, Assos and Swarovski, and 72 top brands in ladies wear, mens wear, kids wear and lingerie, including Beymen Business, DKNY, GAP, Net Work, Bennetton, Damat Tween, and Lacoste.

Marmara Forum is the new heart of technology with brands such as Teknosa, Bimeks, Zen Electronic, Sony, Arçelik, Siemens, Tefal and Bosch, along with Saturn, on an area of 11,555 m². Marmara Forum hosts 14 brands in home decoration and furniture, including Bauhaus, Tepe Home, Zara Home, Home Sweet Home, Yataş, and Step Halı.

With 65 different restaurants and cafes, including Mirano, Big Chefs, Meo’s, Mado, Popeyes, and Tally Weihl, Marmara Forum, has the widest Food Court in Istanbul, and is the first center to host an Efes Pub Corner, on one of the 2 terraces, with panoramic views to the Marmara Sea.

Marmara Forum is also the first shopping center in the world to host MyForum, a full TV studio, with Green Screen and activated social community.
